This Christmas, world-renowned author and illustrator Judith Kerr has created a brand new picture book to sit at the heart of the Sainsbury’s campaign, featuring her ever popular character, Mog, who first appeared in the book Mog the Forgetful Cat in 1970. The lovable, forgetful family cat stars in ‘Mog’s Christmas Calamity’ and, true to form, causes all sorts of Christmas mischief in the Thomas household.
Sainsbury’s, along with Judith Kerr and HarperCollins Children’s Books will be donating every penny of profit from the sale of ‘Mog’s Christmas Calamity’ to Save the Children. The money donated to Save the Children will go towards their UK literacy work and will also give funding to support the aims of the national Read On. Get On. campaign of which they are a founding member.

The three minute and 30 second-long advert was created by design agency AMV BBDO, animated by Framestore and directed by James Rouse. 92 year old Judith Kerr makes a cameo appearance in the film. If you liked it, here is the behind the scenes video.
