If The Cuckoo Don't Crow

If The Cuckoo Don't Crow

“If The Cuckoo Don’t Crow” is a 2 minute animation by Steve Kirby based on an actual recording from a English local radio phone-in, featuring Doris from Melton, a cuckoo, a BBC telephone operator, Michael Fish, a Jack Russell Terrier called Biscuit and some good quality tea towels that came from Woolworths in 1975.

It all started when Brian from Melton (a regular Town 102 FM radio phone-in) came on air to talk to Nicholas Pandolfi about the Great Storm of 1987 recounting how his mother, Doris, was the woman who predicted the October 1987 hurricane and famously phoned the BBC, but was told not to be so daft.
