Milkywhale is a brand new music project by choreographer Melkorka Sigríður Magnúsdóttir that dismantles the boundaries between a concert and a performance. Together with musician Árni Rúnar Hlöðversson they have created a series of pop songs, a visual trip through soundscape and choreography. This epic concert features trivial things like love, trampoline exercises, whales and white animals.
Birds of Paradise is their second single and the video was directed and produced by Magnús Leifsson while the cinematography is by Arró.
Melkorka Sigríður Magnúsdóttir studied choreography at SNDO (School for New Dance Development) in Amsterdam, and contemporary dance at P.A.R.T.S in Brussels 2006-2010. She also sings, plays a banjolele and a synthesizer. She is on the board of the Federation of Icelandic artists and the chairman of the Icelandic dance association. Árni Rúnar Hlöðversson is a member of the electro-pop band FM Belfast.
