Mirror is a short animation created by Chris Ware and John Kuramoto, with interviews and narration by Ira Glass and music by Nico Muhly, which brings a touching parenting tale from NY to life. It is based on the cover of the Dec. 7 edition of The New Yorker, co-produced by The New Yorker and “This American Life”.
Franklin Christenson “Chris” Ware (born December 28, 1967), is an American cartoonist known for his Acme Novelty Library series (begun 1994) and the graphic novels Jimmy Corrigan, the Smartest Kid on Earth (2000) and Building Stories (2012). His works explore themes of social isolation, emotional torment and depression. He tends to use a vivid color palette and realistic, meticulous detail. John Kuramoto is an animator.
