“Home Is Where Your Heart Aches” is the story of Kat, a beautiful, spirited New Yorker. Her only trouble is that she falls in love quickly – way too quickly. It’s as if in matters of love, she never studied the boundaries, the games, the rules. Every encounter turns into a break-up scene. As her situation deteriorates, Kat recourses to extreme measures…
In a world that has almost killed it, love turns into an act of revolt.

The film is written and directed by Julien Levy and it features Nora Zehetner, Astrid Bergès-Frisbey, Tom Lipinski, Finn Wittrock, Ryan Eggold, Andrew Pastides, Michael Stahl-David and Andreas Damm.
Julien Levy studied philosophy in France. First a musician, he traveled around the world with his band within the (very) radical punk-hardcore scene. While touring he made his first photography series, which was soon after shown in galleries. He then moved to Tokyo. While there, he intensified his work as an artist (installation, video, performances…), before broadening his work throughout cinema and literature. His work still adopts a do-it-yourself and highly independent method. Julien Levy lives in Paris and New York.
