Alice Dyba is a young visual artist born in 1990, in Poland. She has been drawing and painting since the age of 3 but her artistic education began officially at the age of 13, when she attended one of the best art schools in Poland. In 2012 Alice earned her BA Hons in Fine Art from the Buckinghamshire New University in High Wycombe, UK. She is working in the fields of figurative painting, drawing and printmaking and is inspired by everyday struggles. Her expressive and diverse work glorifies winos, old ruins, overcrowded communities and blocks of flats. She captures dark moments and tries to make them beautiful in her own unique way by constructing romantic notions of poverty crossed with her dreams, memories and reflections. Her art is very autobiographical and she naturally fills sketchbooks with her ideas through the nights and days. Her work has been exhibited in UK and Poland. After spending 7 months of travelling through Portugal, Alice has now returned in New Milton, UK where she currently lives and works.
