Having sung since she was just 2 years old, Uhre made her way to Nashville, USA as a young woman, and has spent countless weeks and months writing songs and performing throughout the US and Europe with her band Lilyphone. Her adventures in Nashville has introduced her to the likes of Peter Collins (Cardigans, Bon Jovi, Alice Cooper) and Keith Urban, who attended one of her shows, and even sent her one of his songs for her to record afterwards. Uhre divides her time between being a song writer, an artist in her own right as well as a painter. She’s celebrated both in Denmark and abroad for all three skills, although music has always been her core focus. Her sound encompasses the adventures she’s had throughout her life, and her debut single “The Gifted One” blends the power of SIA with the voice of a Lana Del Ray and Kate Bush.
As a painter, Uhre has received awards by the Danish government as well as other accolades throughout her life. Her artwork is always visible in her work, whether it be the lyric video for The Gifted One that she’s filmed and edited herself, or it be the music video where she paints a story with coffee… At the moment Uhre is writing and recording the last of her debut album, and also features on the Danish DJ’s Alexander Brown “Hallelujah” single, which was released on Warner Music throughout Europe in early 2016.
