Michael Kiwanuka

Michael Samuel Kiwanuka (born 3 May 1987) is a British soul musician. He grew up in Muswell Hill, North London and studied at the School of Media, Arts and Design at the University of Westminster. Kiwanuka supported Adele on her Adele Live 2011 tour, as well at her iTunes Festival 2011 gig. He has been compared to Bill Withers, Randy Newman, Terry Callier, and Otis Redding, as well as Van Morrison and the Temptations.


“Love & Hate” is the 3rd single from his second album of the same name, which will be released on the 15th of July. The video is the first part of a collection of four live sessions directed by Huse Monfaradi. The direction of photography is by Olly Wiggins.

Director Huse Monfaradi began his career at MTV UK before entering the world of promos with iconic music videos for artists such as Snow Patrol, Arctic Monkeys and the now infamous Eric Prydz “Call On Me”. He is currently represented for commercials worldwide by Moxie Pictures.
