Traction is a brilliant social satire short that is written and directed by Rory Uphold, starring herself, Ahmed Bharoocha, Jackie Singer and Baron Vaughn. The direction of photography is by Randy Wedick.

An awkward comedy about first dates, race, and racism.

The film screened at festivals across the US, won the Audience Award in the Woods Hole Film Festival and has been featured in numerous online publications including Short of The Week.

Rory Uphold was born and raised in LA. She is an actress and producer who started her career as a pop singer and songwriter. Rory’s first short “Safety”, won a handful of awards at festivals across the United States.
