Martina Grlić is a Croatian artist born in Zagreb, Croatia in 1982. She graduated from the Zagreb Academy of Fine Arts in 2009 and in 2011 she received her MA in Painting. Her work is most known to the media by her melancholy world of remembrance in which she uses achromatic palettes. Martina is the winner of the 2012 Erste Grand Prix for Best Painting and completed a residency at Glo’art in Belgium in 2014. She is a member of HDLU (Croatian Association of Fine Arts) and HZSU (Croatian Association of Contemporary Artists). Since 2008 she has been showing her works in numerous solo and group exhibitions internationally, in countries including Croatia, France, China, and Poland. Most recently, she had a solo show at Simulaker Gallery in Slovenia and group shows at the 51st Zagreb Salon, Croatia and the National Museum in Gdanjsk, Poland. She lives and works in Zagreb, Croatia.
