December 21 is this year’s Spanish Christmas Lottery ad, featuring the touching story of Carmina, a retired teacher from a village of sailors who after listening to her number on TV, thinks she has won the Christmas Lottery. The film is a demonstration that the true joy of winning is in sharing.
The advert was produced by the advertising agency Leo Burnett Madrid who was responsible for the award-winning Christmas Lottery campaign “Justino” last year. The film is directed by Santiago Zannou, the direction of photography is by Kiko de la Rica, the costumes are by Academy Award nominee Paco Delgado and the original soundtrack “21 de Diciembre” was composed by Fernando Velázquez.
