Julia Salustiano is a 30 years old Brazilian photographer specializing in the production of photographic essays with dancers in abandoned buildings, on the streets and other locations in the cities of Brasília, São Paulo and Santos where she has been living and working for the past couple of years. Julia started working as a photographer 6 years ago, originally photographing weddings and women. Dance photography began as a personal project series, under the name Body-Mind Connection. Initiated for purposes of studying body language and its power of communication through photography, Julia did not imagine that the project would change the course of her career. Today, she is dedicated exclusively to the photographic essays for the portfolio of dancers and dance companies and her work has been shown in a number of group exhibitions in Brasília. She has also photographed for the clothing brand of dance, gymnastics and fitness, Capezio.
