Annette Pehrsson is a young Swedish photographer, based in Halmstad. She got her first camera when she was only 7 years old. It was a 35mm point-and-shoot that her father gave her as a Christmas gift. She studied photography for a couple of years and later went on to study Psychology at Lunds Universitet. Annette focuses mainly on analogue photography and less so on digital, with a variety of different analogue cameras using film and polaroid. She derives inspiration from just about anything – locations, emotions, states of mind, people, movies, music, books, clothes, patterns and beautiful light streaming through the window, especially during the early morning hours. Annette shoots mostly portraits that are characterised by an airy, fragile feel with dreamy layers. Her work has been featured in a number of online art publications, in magazines and has been the artwork used for book and cd covers.
