Dawn is a short film based on a concept by Emily Coutts who’s also starring and directed by Molly McGlynn. The direction of photography is by Ben Lichty. The film was created for the Canadian Film Center (CFC) Actors Conservatory “CLOSE-UPS”, which are 3-to-6 minutes cinematic works based on original characters created by the actors. These productions are intended for the big screen, and are designed to promote the actors and their talents in an entertaining and meaningful way.
It’s 1974. Dawn has three quarters in her purse to make three calls to get her home to the son she’s left behind to pursue her dreams in New York City.
