The Journey is a powerful short film created by Brunner advertising agency for 84 Lumber company, a building materials & services supplier based in Pennsylvania, USA. Dealing with the sensitive issue of immigration, the film aired during the Super Bowl and celebrates the launch of a national recruiting campaign for the company’s management training program. It is directed by Cole Webley, the direction of photography is by Justin Brown, the coloring is by Tom Poole and the music is by Future Perfect.
The Journey project was conceived and produced in less than 6 weeks and is going viral at the moment, having reached more than 10 million views in Youtube only. As Brunner explains 84 Lumber’s customer base is increasingly comprised of millennials, people who value what a company stands for as much as the products the company sells. To make a statement that would get everyone’s attention and convey the core values of the company in the most disruptive way possible, the spot focused on telling the story of what 84 Lumber believes in.
