The film is written and directed by Jordan Schiele, starring Kampot Zahi and Dan Wen. Jordan Schiele was born in Brooklyn, NY and began working on film sets in China. After studying Chinese and comparative law at Oxford and Bowdoin College, he graduated from NYU-Tisch Asia in Singapore with a dual concentration in cinematography and directing. Jordan works both as a director and cinematographer and his narrative short films and commercial/promotional films have been awarded and won jury prizes at numerous film festivals around the world. “Turtle” in particular, premiered at the 52nd New York Film Festival, won the Oscar-qualifying award for Best Narrative Short at the Atlanta Film Festival, the Grand Jury Prize at the New Orleans Film Festival and the Asian Short of the Year at the Hong Kong Film & Video Awards.
