MAKE LOVE NOT WALLS is Diesel’s latest campaign. It is created by Anomaly Amsterdam advertising agency and directed by the iconic David LaChapelle. It is a colorful celebration of breaking down boundaries and tearing down the mental and physical walls that separate us, to let all sides come together in the name of unity and love. Diesel takes on the Wall, a symbol of separation by definition, breaking it down to create strong storytelling throughout the imagery developed around it: walls are built and the Diesel love tank breaks it with a heart shape turning a symbol of separation into a happy place full of flowers of celebration of freedom and love.
In the words of DIESEL’s Artistic Director Nicola Formichetti:
At Diesel, we have a strong position against hate and more than ever we want the world to know that, to use our voice for good, love and togetherness is crucial in creating a society we all want to live in, and the future we all deserve.
The direction of photography is by Fredrik Jacobi, the editing by Govert Janse, the coloring is by Ricky Gausis and the music is Higher Love by Alex Vargas. The film stars Ukrainian ballet dancer Sergei Polunin, Olympic silver medalist Danell Leyva and Laith de la Cruz, Karis Wilde, Raja and Octavia Hamlett.
