Bath House (Simhall) is a multi-awarded stop-motion dark comedy directed by Niki Lindroth von Bahr upon an idea of hers and a script by Jerker Virdborg. The animation is by Niki Lindroth von Bahr and Schubert Animation while the sound is by Hans Appelqvist.
Six characters meet in a public bath house: the pedant bath house manager, a couple with a strange way of communicating and a gang with shady intentions. Something goes wrong.

Niki Lindroth von Bahr is an artist and animation director based in Stockholm, Sweden. She got her master degree in Fine Art at the Royal Institute of Art in Stockholm, spring 2016. Her films “Bath House” (2014) and “Tord and Tord” (2010) has been screened at festivals around the world, such as Berlinale, Sundance and Annecy. “Tord and Tord” were also nominated as Best Short film at Guldbaggegalan (Main Swedish film award) 2011 and won the Grand Prix of Fredrikstad Animation Festival the same year, while “Bath House” won the Grand Prix at Anima in Brussels 2015. Along with making her own films, Niki also works with sculpture and costume design. In 2016, she and Nicklas Nilsson designed and made the costumes for David Bowie’s music video Blackstar, directed by Johan Renck. Niki’s new film, the animated dystopian musical “The Burden”, premiered at Göteborg International Film Festival in january 2017, where it was given the Short film Grand Award (Startsladden) as well as the Audience Award.
