A Mighty Nice Man is an awarded short mystery drama directed by Jonathan Dee as his Columbia thesis film on an adaption from Patricia Highsmith’s haunting story of same name. The film is a tale of the loss of a young girls innocence, as well as urban America’s predation upon rural America’s naiveté. Jonathan Dee received his BA in Film Directing and Art History from Loyola Marymount University and an MFA in Film Directing from Columbia University. Upon graduation, he was meritoriously awarded a Sony TAG Fellowship for directing. His film “Lily” went on to win numerous awards including Best Director and Best Film at the DGA. Since then, Jonathan has directed narrative and commercial work around the globe. His project, A Mighty Nice Man, is the current recipient of the 2013 HBO Development Award, won the 2014 National Board of Review Student Grant and was nominated for the Student Visionary Award at the 2015 Tribeca Film Festival.
