Noemi Safir-Dolev is an Israel based artist, born in Montevideo, Uruguay in 1971. She studied the art of painting at the Institute of Art, in Bat-Yam, Israel. Despite her love for art, life led Noemi through many different roads and difficulties before bringing her in front of her real destiny. At around the age of 35, she rediscovered herself as the artist she always wanted to be. Noemi’s work depict scenes from her life and the natural environment; scenes she originally captures through photography or sketching and then filters through her own feelings and emotions using a broad palette of colours and remnants from the pop culture. Her work has been displayed in New York, Miami, Monaco, Singapore, Hong Kong and Tel Aviv and her paintings are held in private collections and public venues. Noemi lives and works in Tel-Aviv, Israel.
In her own words:
I had always known that someday, painting would become my big and ultimate passion and fulfilment. Things have not always been easy for me, close people who couldn’t acknowledge in the power of my art, took me through many different roads and difficulties, but it became a blessing. When I paint I feel how my art fills people with so much excitement, love and optimism. I get inspiration from all that is around me: beauty, people, city views, relationships, books and music. I am fascinated about the way that the viewer moves into a place of speculation around my artwork, revealing imagery and emotion with each painting whispering a private and intimate story to each beholder. My great vision is to touch people’s heart with my art and my story. Everything that I create is a reflection of myself and my long road of knowing and learning more about the real me.
