Job, Joris & Marieke is the name of Marieke Blaauw’s, Joris Oprins’ and Job Roggeveen’s animation, illustration, character design and music studio. The three did not study animation but graduated as product designers at the Design Academy of Eindhoven in the Netherlands. During their studies they discovered they had a passion for telling stories. But designing products and telling stories was very difficult so animation turned out to be their best medium, as the perfect combination of storytelling and designing. A Single Life was nominated for the 87th Academy Awards® in 2015 for best animated short film. Since then A Single Life has been screened at more than 200 festivals and it has been awarded with 40 prizes and last week was awarded with a Vimeo Staff Pick. The soundtrack for A Single Life by Happy Camper is available on Spotify.
